Our Dearest Grandson Our Dearest Michael

It is so hard to believe that you have been away from us for five years. Sometimes it seems like four hours sometimes it seems like 500 years. Regardless of the time all of us in one way or the other always feel your presence. We talk about you at every opportunity to all who will listen and so many people still do. We are continually amazed that you touched so many lives young and old in so many ways. We will always believe that God sent you here for a special purpose and when that purpose was fulfilled He called you Home to spend eternity with Him. The consolation that we have is through and because of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ we will be with you again. We know that Heaven is so beautiful that if you could come back... you would not want to. There are no words to describe the hurt and sadness that we still feel but our Lord comforts us day by day and again the assurance of being with you again overwhelms that sadness and will suffice until that wonderful day when we shall all be together again as a family. Michael you were and continue to be such a blessing to all of us. We love and miss you beyond words. We shall see you soon.

It's been four years since we lost Michael but it seems like just yesterday to me. I can't put in to words the heartache that comes with losing a child. As a family, I believe Michael has taught us not to wait for tomorrow to tell each other how we feel. We always have been a loving family and we have never been embarrassed to show it, but after Michael's accident, our love for each other is at a new level. I'm proud of Michael for the type of young man he was. We all still have a good laugh when we talk about him and some of the things he said and did. Michael would want us to keep laughing. I want to thank all of our friends and family for the support you have given to us this past four years with a special thanks to the Riverside Police Department, First Baptist Church of Riverside, Grove Community Church and Robertson's Transport. To Shelly, Garrett and Hannah; Thank you for being so strong. I LOVE YOU!!....Dad

Happy Birthday Grandson.... 21 years old today... Not a day goes that you are not in our hearts, our thoughts, and our conversations. We miss so much your teasing us. Grandma misses your big bear hugs and Grandpa misses watching you on the football field. You were a leader. We still love and miss you so very much. There is nothing I can do to make him come back.There are no words I can say that can replace the words you long to hear. There are no answers I can give that will satisfy your questions. There is not another soul I can introduce you to that will ever replace him, and there is no love I can offer that will ever replace the love you shared. I cannot promise your broken heart will ever be complete. I will not say it could have been worse. I will not deny it was tragedy. I will not lie and tell you he will come back. He never really left. I do promise that he hears you when you speak. I will say he loves you no matter the distance. I will not deny that he is in a better place. And I will not lie; he is waiting to greet you someday. He is in every step you take. He is in everything you do. He is the air you breathe. He is every beat of your heart. He is like the wind. You cannot see him, but you always will feel him.
